Philip Hamm
Phil is a former English lecturer and worked in education for over fifteen years. He has done many interesting things; he was a lumberjack in Norway in his distant youth and he waded through the marshes of the Amazon basin once, looking for anacondas (didn’t find any and, half way through, decided he didn’t want to). He has cleaned windows, waited on tables and propped up bars. He even trained as a butler in the mistaken view that it would be like Jeeves and Wooster. He spends his time dreaming of worlds far away. To make those worlds more realistic he draws maps, creates complicated histories and decides what colour to paint their ships. This website is a showcase for a few of those ideas – some of which can be traced back over 40 years to games played with plastic bricks and drawings made on butchers' paper with crayons and felt tips.
